this is natalie’s newsletter, a collection of letters and reflections. i made this newsletter to write daily letters to friends and acquaintances as i travel across seas for the first time, but i think i’ll also use this for long format blogging about life and art afterwards.

as i prepare for my trip- watching the weather reports, printing more zines, finishing last minute drawings, and figuring out the last minute pieces of travel, i’ll be watching an autumn favourite, Over the Garden Wall and other post-halloween spookies that i was too busy to watch during october. (it’s still autumn!)

about me: i am an artist and cartoonist from treaty 1 territory. i make comics that are somewhere between reflections of life and a little bit curious. i like storytelling because it helps me understand other people, and have deep love for the indie and experimental.

things i love: going to the library; playing ttrpgs; making and reading zines; cartoon mascot creatures like snoopy, chii-tan, and miffy; and playing with my friends.

Speaking of Over the Garden Wall, a 10 year anniversary stop motion short made by Aardman Animations was actually released only 2 days ago on YouTube! i thought it was very charming and made me very happy → sparking my desire to re-watch the series.
